St Marys Athletics Team took part in the cluster schools Athletics Competition at Rivington & Blackrod High School in the sports hall. The children showed support and enthusiasm for each other and came 2nd place! Well done, all the staff are very proud of you.
Mrs Christian took the Year 5 pupil chaplains to St. Bernards to pass on the chest. We pass this around all of the Catholic schools in the area to re-create the Holy Pilgrimage of Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus on their way to Bethlehem.

Year 4 have been making ‘posh’ sandwiches in DT today.
We are learning all about British Values and how a tea party should be displayed.
Some of the children from Year 5 came to judge our sandwiches and the winners will be announced next week!
Two of our Year 4 students will then be going to Rivington and Blackrod High School to take part in a competition.
As our new school year begins, we turn our learning to how our children can be safe whilst learning online, to support this we have developed a new Online Safety Area on our blog.

The children have had a great time since we came back in January. Please take a moment to have a look at a couple of videos to see what we have been up to.
Here is what we get up to at St.Mary’s!
