Today we visited Bolton Army Reserve Centre where pupils were given lessons from a wide range of safety organisations including Greater Manchester Police, British Transport Police, Bolton Lads & Girls Club, Bolton Road Safety Team.
The event was a ‘hands-on’ safety morning where the children were taught about important issues including anti-social behaviour, personal safety and road safety.
All children enjoyed and left with important safety information.
Keep safe Year 6!
We had a fun-filled Green Day.
We started the day in the ICT Suite completing posters about Road Safety. Later that day we joined Russ on a nature walk around Rivington. Russ taught the children and staff some interesting facts about the nature in our woodlands around where we live.
Year 6 this week as part of your homework we would like you to tell us what you learned on your nature walk in the comments below.
Welcome to our Year 6 Blog.
Here you will find what we have been learning about and you will be able to see all the amazing, fun things we are doing- please feel free to comment on our posts.
Highlights to look forward to this half term include learning about Hawk Boy during our English lessons, having a greater understanding of our family and the different kinds of love we have and the commitment to our Church (RE). During History and Geography we will be enhancing our map skills and looking at the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings. Maths- place value, calculations, fractions, problem solving and much more throughout our lessons. We also have lots to look forward to in Science, Art/Design Technology, PE, French, Music and Computing.
Wow what a busy term!
