On Friday 9th November we followed instructions to make Challah Bread. We used all the ingredients to make this special bread as part of our Judaism topic. Challah bread is shared together at Shabbat during Friday night dinner. We came together to taste the Challah Bread and sang ‘Shalom’ which means peace.
Well done Year 2!
Today we came together as a whole school to remember all the people who were and are still involved in war and conflict throughout the world. We prayed especially for the soldiers who died fighting for their country in WW1. We remember those soldiers and the sacrifices they made so that we can live a peace and harmonious life.
Today we celebrated our Poetry Assembly with the whole school.
Our poem was called Florence Nightingale by Paul Perro.
Well done Year 2. We are very proud of you!
Today we celebrated our 15th annual Green Day in School. We started our day with a talk from Matt and Frank who told us all about healthy eating through football. The children had the chance to discuss all about the different foods needed for a healthy diet eg different carbohydrates and protein. We then went up to the hall for a fun morning of football skills. Our Road Safety Ambassador gave us a talk all about road safety and how to keep safe when we are on the roads. Our day continued with a debate on saving our planet and a visit to the Fair Trade Stall. We have had a busy and fun Green Day. Well done Year 2!
