McMillan Coffee Morning

A huge thank you to everyone who were able to attend the coffee morning today.  We had an amazing turn out which was so lovely to see.   Can we also say a big thank you to everyone who has bought raffle tickets over the last few weeks.  We have raised a fantastic amount of money (which is still being counted and we will update you with a total later)

Please enjoy looking at a few photos from the morning.

A great show from Mimika!

Over the last week, a group called Mimika visited the school to put on a show for the children of all years. The show involved the children sitting in Mimika’s tent and watching an educational and interactive show about wildlife and what they do in their habitats. The animals shown were carefully hand crafted puppets that consisted of everyday items such as glue and lolly sticks. We would like to thank Mimika for their fantastic performance!

News of the Break In

Whilst we have no further news at present on the break in on Sunday evening, two of our Year 6 girls, Niamh, Leah and Chloe have written recounts of the events on Monday in school, one of which is a newspaper article. All credit to the girls as these articles were written in their own time at home on Monday evening, proving that the pupils are concerned about events and would like their laptops back!

Break In!

This is not what we expected to be reporting as our first school blog entry.

Unfortunately, on Sunday evening, we had a break in into school and three of the children’s laptops were stolen. Police have been informed and this afternoon we had a Crime Scene Investigator in school dusting the area for fingerprints and we are hopeful that the laptops will be recovered.

School would be grateful for any information regarding this matter if it should come to light.
