On October 7th 2016 we had our annual Green Day. Reception class enjoyed a day packed with activities. We learnt about road safety with Lollypop Linda & Julie. We did some outside learning with Mrs Jordan making art pictures using leaves. We did food tasting with Lynda from ASDA, learnt about safety of dogs with Mrs Crouch and planted potatoes in our outside planters.
What a wonderful start in year 5. We are all very impressed with the children’s behaviour, willingness to learn and how kind the children are to each other.

Year 4 have been making ‘posh’ sandwiches in DT today.
We are learning all about British Values and how a tea party should be displayed.
Some of the children from Year 5 came to judge our sandwiches and the winners will be announced next week!
Two of our Year 4 students will then be going to Rivington and Blackrod High School to take part in a competition.
Foundation class held a colouring competition that was open to all students to raise money for Caritas. We had lots of fantastic entries and it was very hard to choose. We had winners for Foundation, Year 1&2, Year 3&4 and Year 5&6 with 14 runner up prizes (2 from each class). Every child who took part also received a sweet to say thank you. We raised an amazing £62 for the charity so we would like to say a big thank you to everyone who took part. Please enjoy looking at the video which features some of the amazing works of art. (Please note: not all pictures were returned for photographing)
